About
Safe Drive Association
We
are dedicated to Safer Driving.
Safe
Driver Association is committed to reducing
the level of accidents on our roads. Star
bumper stickers are our membership campaign
that principally focuses on safer driving.
Safe Driver Association's goal is to help
others to stop traffic rage, speeding offences,
the non-wearing of seatbelts, drink-driving
and any other form of bad driving.
By
placing a bumper sticker on your car you
are telling other drivers the importance
of thinking about the dangers on the road.
Your are committing to attempting to think
more about your driving when you are behind
the wheel. Everyday he want our members
to attempt to be a little more curtious
to other drives. Many drivers are driving
with the mindset that they must be number
one. Always beating others on the road is
not a safe driving attitude. By joining,
SDA with a simple bumper sticker you are
letting other drivers know you are attempting
to drive with safety. Aggresive driving
and fast driving should be controlled, but
there are times that agressive driving is
safer than slow unsafe driving. Safe driving
is not always about speed but safe driving
is about your behavior with other drivers.
You know your speed is to fast when your
changing lanes at high speeds and putting
others and yourself in danager.
Many collisions could be avoided if road
users exercised more care and attention.
Here are a few reminders that will help
you, as a driver, to have a safe journey.
SLOW DOWN and observe the speed limits.
If you have to drive faster keep your speed
only a few miles per hour above the speed
limit.
ALWAYS
wear your seat belt, even on the shortest
of journeys. All passengers in a car should
wear their belts too.
NEVER
EVER DRINK AND DRIVE
On
two lane roads, roads with known accident
problems, rainy days, or on dark winter
days, it's a good idea to drive with your
headlights switched on.
Driving
on long journeys can be tiring and exhausting
- this often leads to accidents. As soon
as you feel tired pull over and take a break.
Keep
you distance from the vehicle in front,
especially in wet conditions.
Remember
to regularly check your vehicle for any
defects such as faulty lights or worn tires.
Be
patient and give yourself the proper amount
of time for your journey. Driver impatience
leads to risks such as dangerous overtaking.
Its better to be late than not to arrive
at all.
"Star"
is shown below. Star bumper stickers tell
other drivers you are a safe driver and
remind them to drive safely themselves.
Placing
Star on your car does not mean you are now
perfect.....you are attempting to make a
difference on the road.
